Thanks to the many generous sponsors and guests, the "Diamond of Dreams" fundraiser was a home run! The July 24 event at Kauffman Stadium raised over $170,000 for Operation Breakthrough. "It was a gorgeous night," says longtime Royals fan Sister Corita. "The music, the food, the fireworks at the end of the evening - the Royals really outdid themselves. Our children are lucky to have them on their team."
