Full-Time Janitorial/Light Maintenance
 --  Monday through Friday -- 8:30a-5:30p. $9.00 per hour with benefits.
 
Duties Include:
• Trash and recycle collection
• Sweep and mop floors
• Restock dispensers
• Maintain supply inventory
• Light plumbing and minor repairs as needed

Infant/Toddler Teacher - Full Time -- Requires a minimum of a Child Development Associate and completion as required of continuing education programs and professional development.  Ability to communicate with children, parents, and other staff; ability to read and complete required forms and reports; ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for up to 8 hours per day; ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.

• Instruct and supervise a group of children in full-day, Early Head Start Classroom and participate in school related activities.
• Complete or supervise completion of daily attendance, meal counts, lesson plans, classroom cleanliness checklists, etc.
• Contribute new ideas; implement activities and teaching methods to carry out the program according to the developmental level of the individual child.
• Implement the Early Head Start Curriculum in the classroom and follow Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
• Work with and train Assistant Teachers in understanding objectives and education plans for each child using screening and observational information; provide on-the-jobtraining for Assistant Teachers.
• With professional staff, use Developmental Screening, anecdotal notes and portfolios to assist in developing lesson plans and individualized programming for each child.
• Discuss special needs of individual children with teaching staff supervisors, specialists and parents.  Provide necessary documentation for referring children.
• Complete daily lesson plans incorporating individual, small group, and large group activities with the Assistant Teacher. Lesson Plans depict a developmentally appropriate process.  Lesson Plans should be completed daily from 2:00-2:30p.m.
• Plan special event and field trips incorporating Assistant Teacher’s ideas and suggestions.
• Maintain and manage a positive classroom environment that promotes learning.
• Communicate to Supervisor observed safety, physical, and licensing issues.
• Supervise mealtimes.
• Arrange and participate in Parent/Teacher Conferences as prescribed by Early Head Start and Center policies and procedures; acquaint parents with program activities; developmentally appropriate practices; program objectives, determine and communicate needs of each child; interpret curriculum.
• Solicit parents’ assistance; explain and promote parent involvement through participation and activities.
• Compile an accurate classroom inventory, as prescribed by center and Head Start Staff guidelines, with assistance from the teaching staff.
• Develop, arrange, and participate in classroom staff meetings.
• Compile and submit all paperwork by the required deadlines; completing reports as specified.

Pre-School Teacher- Full time --
Requires a minimum of a Child Development Associate certificate or equivalent and two (2) years experience classroom teaching experience. Must be flexible to the changing needs of the classroom and children. Bachelor's degree preferred. Ability to communicate with children, parents, and other staff; ability to read and complete required forms and reports; ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for up to 8 hours per day; ability to lift and move up to 45 lbs.  Position located in Orange 4 and Purple 4.

Job Duties:

This position involves working with a large Early Childhood Education Center to support 5 to 6 classrooms with curriculum; staff supervision, professional development and evaluation; and child assessments.  The position works closely with three other Education Coordinators and other members of an Interdisciplinary Team to implement programming.  A specific area of responsibility is to ensure compliance with regulating entities including, first and foremost licensing, but also Head Start and NAEYC.  Monday through Friday, Full day, Full year program

Substitute School Age/Preschool Teacher --
Requires a minimum of a Youth Development Credential or equivalent and two (2) years with school age programming, including before/after school programs.  Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons.

Some duties include:
•  Select developmentally appropriate instructional strategies.
•  Perform tasks that maintain a daily routine that includes a balance between active/quiet
child-directed/teacher-directed, individual/group and indoor/outdoor activities.
•  Maintain classroom inventory and complete all required paperwork daily.
•  Maintain a clean, safe environment and comply with all regulations, policies and procedures guiding classroom.
•  Plan and implement approved curriculum and activities that support the mission and goals of the organization.
