Save the date of June 3 so your family won’t miss Farm Fest 2007 at the Deanna Rose Farmstead. On this one evening, you and the kids can bottle-feed baby goats, bounce in the Moon Walk, bop to the music of the Doo-Dads and Radio Disney and feast from a kid-friendly buffet, while enjoying all the usual Farmstead activities.
This is the sixth year for the Farm Fest fundraiser but the first time Operation Breakthrough has been part of the fun. Farm Fest’s founding organizations, the Farmstead and the Jewish Community Center, invited Operation Breakthrough to join this year in putting on Farm Fest. The three organizations will receive equal shares of the evening’s proceeds.
Steve and Cindy Bernstein are honorary co-chairs for the event. As many as 2,000 people are expected to attend Farm Fest from across the Kansas City area. Tickets will be available in May at the Farmstead, located at 138th and Switzer in Overland Park, and on Operation Breakthrough’s web site.
There are many promotional opportunities available for sponsors. Sponsorships range from $500 to $15,000.
Advance tickets still available Saturday (6/2) at The Deanna Rose Farmstead and The Jewish Community Center.
If you would like information about sponsorships or volunteer opportunities, please contact Farm Fest Co-Chair Sarah Telford at 816-361-9497 or stelford@kc.rr.com. And check our web site for more details as the date gets closer.
